Excursions

Ephesus
The ruins include one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - the Temple of Artemis.

This ancient city was discovered by a British archaeologist in 1869 and some of the most spectacular sites are the Celsus Library with the beautiful statues decorating the facade, the amphitheatre (one of the biggest in the world), the Latrines, the Temple of Hadrian and the House of Love.

Pamukkale
Pamukkale, meaning 'Cotton Castle' is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Turkey.

It is a unique site formed thousands of years ago when a calcium rich spring cascaded over the hillside and reacted with the air to form a brilliant white snow chalky coat.  A series of terraces with shallow pools was formed, and the overflowing water petrified into formations resembling waterfalls, icicles or stalactites.

Virgin Mary

This is located close to Ephesus on top of Bulbul (Nightingale) Mountain and is where the Virgin Mary lived for the last 11 years of her live.

The site was discovered in the 19th century after a vision seen by a German nun.  A chapel was built on the remains of the house and has become a place of pilgrimage, every Sunday an open air mass is celebrated on the site.

Boat trips

Turkey is a sailing paradise and there is no better way to relax and unwind than a boat trip.

Cool down in the refreshing crystal clear water, take refreshments on board and visit the treasure trove of coves, inlets, bays and beaches.
